Wound Care Team
The VNA Wound Care Team consists of Wound Care Nurses, Physical Therapists, a Dietitian and Home Care Aides. All members of the Wound Care Team have received intensive instruction for specialized wound care and successfully completed competency testing.
Staff members caring for patients with wounds are knowledgeable about the wounds they are treating, changes in the patient's condition and the best methods of treatment for the individual.
All team members follow standardized classification and staging criteria for wound assessment. This provides for better continuity and communication betweeen team members, the patient, his/her family and physician.
