Volunteer - A Vital Part Of This Special Care

Volunteers

Volunteers are an important part of the VNA team. The special care and commitment that volunteers bring to our agency adds to our programs and services and sets us apart. Because we are a not-for-profit charitable organization, volunteers can be confident that their time and talent are being donated to an organization that cares about and gives back to our communities.

Volunteers are important throughout our agency, especially in these areas:

  • Hospice Care volunteers may choose to visit patients, provide companionship and respite for the family, or run errands. Some volunteers choose to assist with clerical functions in VNA's offices. Additional volunteer opportunities are available at the John and Betty Charlier Hospice Center.
  • Flu Clinic volunteers are needed each fall to assist with VNA's community-wide immunization program. Volunteers are needed to assist with clerical functions both at community sites and in the VNA offices. Registered nurses may also volunteer to assist with flu and pneumonia injections at area clinics.
  • Fund Development volunteers assist with clerical and administrative needs, special events, and fundraising campaigns. Periodic opportunities are available for volunteers to help with special projects and activities.
  • General Office and support volunteers assist in helping with general office duties and responsibilities in all of our offices.

We are dedicated to providing quality volunteer services. To assist our volunteers in being both knowledgeable and comfortable with their volunteer responsibilities, appropriate training is provided.

For more information on volunteer opportunities in your area, please contact the office nearest you or fill out a brief volunteer interest form online.
